 Painting guide for the Dragonlance figures


Goldmoon: Silvery Gold Hair, furs with red feathers and a bright blue crystal staff.



Caramon: Brown hair, white tabard, golden/bronze winged helmet.


Tanis: red/auburn hair, green cloak, leathers.



Raistlin: golden skin, white hair.  Red robe with blue trim around the hood and sleeves. Staff with glowing blue orb on the end.


Laurana: Honey Blonde Hair, armour and tan trousers.
(sadly the model lacks the distinctive cloak of the artwork)


Sturm: Full armour horned helmet.  Shield with yellow centre and red circle. Brown hair.


Riverwind: Brown hair, red headband and sash.
(rather lacking in artwork for this one)


Tasslehoff: Green top (NOT red as in the sample model), blue trousers, brown hair; white furs


Flint: Dwarf, black beard, red trousers, white top.


Tika: Red Hair, chainmail, red sash, greave on her right leg is a bronze colour unlike the rest of the armour.

WFRP 1st Edition Advanced Careers Chart

  Warhammer Fantasy Role Play has always had an interesting system with using careers as a way for characters to advance in the game.  With over sixty basic careers they is a lot of options that players can have for their character. When you then move on into all the Advanced Careers there is a lot of options.  Coming back to the game I wanted to know what routes were available to get from which advanced career to another. As no chart existing I created one including key Characteristics that are available. Key Rectangles show Advanced Careers while ovals are Basic Careers.  I have shaded in those careers that cannot be reached from other Advanced Careers.  Given the Magical careers do not really connect with the others I left them off the diagram. Arcane Trickster

The Arcane Trickster is my favourite sub-class in Fifth Edition D&D.  It is not the most powerful but is a lot of fun.   Trickster does not need to multi-class but a single level of Wizard gives a big boost with access to all first level spells, ritual casting and we can trade out our known spells for more Second Level options.  Best spot for multi-class is level six but if we have a game where we expect to spend a long time in Tier 1 we can also dip at level 2. Rogues get lots of choice for using a Bonus action and Reaction as we go up levels. Actions: Attack; (3) cast a spell Bonus: Off-hand Attack; (2) Dash; Disengage; Hide; Mage Hand; (13) Versatile Trickster Reaction: (4) Shield ; (5) Uncanny Dodge; (6) Feather Fall ; (17) Spell Thief A trickster wants good Dex and Int as well as Dark Vision, after all it is hard to sneak around carrying a torch.  If we are using point buy that gives us three choices in the PHB - High Elf, Half-Elf and Forest Gno...
